About the Position
This full-time, ongoing role commencing in Term 3, 2026 is suited to a teacher with the ability to deliver Psychology across Years 11 and 12, alongside Junior Science across Years 7-10. The successful candidate will join a high-performing faculty known for its hands-on and inquiry-based approach to learning. Senior Psychology students are supported through engaging curriculum experiences covering areas such as memory, learning, stress, and sleep, with opportunities for accelerated VCE studies. Junior Science programs integrate theory with practical investigations across Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Earth Sciences, encouraging students to develop scientific literacy and critical thinking skills through real-world applications.
Skills and Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging Psychology and Science programs aligned with the Victorian Curriculum and VCE requirements.
- Foster inquiry-based learning through practical investigations, experiments, and hands-on classroom experiences.
- Ensure student wellbeing and safety, adhering to all safeguarding and duty of care expectations.
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues to support positive learning outcomes.
- Collaborate within the Science faculty to contribute to curriculum development, assessment practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain VIT registration.
Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.
