About the Position

This full-time, ongoing position will commence in Term 1, 2026, teaching Product Design across Years 7–12. The successful applicant will teach across specialist areas such as Woodwork, Metalwork, Systems Engineering, or Product Design and Technologies, depending on their area of expertise. The role would suit an engaging and adaptable teacher who enjoys hands-on, project-based learning and supporting students to explore creativity, problem-solving, and design thinking through practical application.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Teach Product Design and related Technology subjects across Years 7–12.

  • Design and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons that develop students’ technical and creative capabilities.

  • Foster a safe and organised workshop environment, promoting best practice in safety and student engagement.

  • Collaborate with the Technology faculty to enhance resources and project outcomes.

  • Encourage innovation, sustainability, and critical thinking in student design projects.

Requirements

  • Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.

  • Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.

  • Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
