About the Position

This full-time position combines Music and Visual Arts teaching across Prep to Year 6. The successful candidate will deliver engaging Music and Art programs while helping students develop creativity, confidence and a love of the arts. The role presents an exciting opportunity for a passionate Music educator to further develop and grow the school's Music program over time, including potential expansion of instrumental offerings such as guitar and keyboard. While the position commences as a classroom teaching role, there is future scope for leadership responsibilities as the program continues to evolve.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging Music and Visual Arts programs for students across Prep to Year 6.
  • Foster student creativity, participation and skill development in both classroom and performance settings.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment aligned with safeguarding requirements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support whole-school initiatives and student learning outcomes.
  • Contribute to the growth of the Music program, including opportunities to develop instrumental offerings.

Requirements

  • Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration. Permission to Teach candidates will also be considered.
  • Faith Alignment: Applicants must demonstrate an active Christian faith, provide a pastoral reference, and align with the school's Protestant Christian ethos.
  • Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.
  • Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
