Primary Teacher – Remote NT
Salary Range:$96,000–$136,000 plus super (2026 rates)
Allowances: Remote Teaching Allowances up to $10,000–$12,000 per annum, housing and utilities provided, plus 3 FOILs (Flights Out In Lieu)

About the Position
The school is seeking a committed Primary Teacher with full registration who can plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with Version 9 of the Australian Curriculum across multiple primary year levels. The role involves assessing student learning, writing end-of-semester reports, and maintaining strong classroom management. Building meaningful relationships with students, families, and the community is central to the position, and the successful candidate will work closely with Aboriginal educators and colleagues as part of a professional and supportive teaching team.

This role is ideally suited to a teacher who is adaptable, resourceful, and respectful of others’ space, while bringing maturity, cultural awareness, and strong professional standards. Previous remote or multi-age teaching experience is highly regarded but not essential.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across multiple primary year levels, aligned with the v9 Australian Curriculum.

  • Collect evidence of student learning and prepare end-of-semester reports.

  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and student engagement strategies.

  • Collaborate effectively with Aboriginal educators, colleagues, and school leadership.

  • Build strong, positive relationships with students, families, and the wider community.

  • Uphold safeguarding practices and professional standards in all aspects of school life.

Requirements

  • Registration: Full teacher registration (or eligibility) with the NT Teacher Registration Board.

  • Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.

  • Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.

  • 2.5 hours from Alice Springs, accessible by 4WD (training available via the Department).
