About the Role
This leadership opportunity combines classroom teaching with primary curriculum oversight. The Primary Coordinator will deliver 18 periods of STEM (K–6 Science and Technology) per cycle across each year group.
Alongside teaching, the role holds responsibility for leading key primary administrative functions, ensuring curriculum compliance, and supporting high standards of planning and documentation. This position will suit a highly organised educator who is confident balancing leadership responsibilities with a consistent classroom presence. Direct reports are to be confirmed.
Skills and Responsibilities

Deliver engaging K–6 Science and Technology programs aligned to NESA syllabus requirements

Lead primary curriculum oversight, including planning compliance and documentation management

Review and monitor teaching programs to ensure strong syllabus alignment

Support safeguarding, student wellbeing, and positive parent communication

Collaborate with staff and leadership to strengthen curriculum development and whole-school initiatives
Requirements

Current or eligibility for NESA registration

Demonstrated experience in primary curriculum leadership or coordination

Strong understanding of K–6 syllabus requirements and compliance obligations

Full Australian working rights

Two professional referees and completion of HARKE’s safeguarding onboarding
