About the Role
An opportunity has become available for a Physics and Mathematics Teacher to join the school from Term 3, 2026. This ongoing position has arisen due to the retirement of a long-serving teacher and offers the opportunity to step into an established program with strong student engagement and faculty support.
The teaching load will include Mathematics across Years 9-11 and Physics through to VCE level. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting senior Physics students through revision programs, examination preparation, and practical learning experiences that strengthen student outcomes.
The school is seeking an educator with demonstrated VCE Physics experience who can confidently deliver senior curriculum while building positive relationships with students and contributing to a collaborative faculty culture.
Skills and Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging Mathematics programs across Years 9-11
- Teach Physics from junior secondary through to VCE level
- Support VCE students through revision programs, assessment preparation, and examination readiness
- Maintain strong safeguarding and student welfare practices aligned with policy and duty of care expectations
- Communicate clearly with staff, students, and families to support learning progress and consistent expectations
- Collaborate with secondary leadership and teaching teams to strengthen planning, assessment, and shared practice
Requirements
- Current VIT registration or eligibility to obtain registration
- Demonstrated experience teaching VCE Physics
- Ability to teach Mathematics across Years 9-11
- Full Australian working rights
- Commitment to student wellbeing and safeguarding
- Two current referees and completion of HARKE safeguarding onboarding
