About the Position

The school is seeking a Physical Education / Health Teacher for 2027.

This role will suit an educator who can create active, practical and engaging learning experiences while supporting students to take greater ownership of their development. The successful teacher will be adaptable, relationship-focused and comfortable working within a less traditional learning model.

Alignment with the school’s progressive pedagogy will be a key consideration at interview.

Skills & Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging Physical Education and Health curriculum through practical and student-centred learning.

  • Maintain strong safeguarding, wellbeing, duty-of-care and safe participation practices.

  • Encourage student agency, goal-setting, reflection and practical application of health and physical education concepts.

  • Communicate effectively with students, families and colleagues regarding participation, learning and wellbeing.

  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute positively to the school’s progressive learning culture.

Requirements to Apply

  • Relevant teaching qualification with appropriate Physical Education and Health teaching methods.

  • Registration with or eligibility for the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).

  • Full Australian work rights.

  • Two professional referees and completion of HARKE’s onboarding and safeguarding requirements.

  • Willingness to work within a student-driven, practical and inquiry-based learning environment.
