About the Position

This permanent part-time position (0.4–0.6 FTE), commencing in Term 3, is perfect for a passionate Music Teacher who loves inspiring students through sound, performance, and creativity. You’ll be teaching students across Primary and Secondary levels and working alongside a close-knit Performing Arts team. The school welcomes innovative teaching practices and offers the flexibility to shape music programs that reflect your strengths.
 

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and age-appropriate Music lessons across Primary and Lower Secondary

  • Encourage student participation in singing, instrumental work, and performance

  • Develop and contribute to school concerts, events, and ensemble programs

  • Integrate faith and values into classroom experiences

  • Collaborate with the broader Arts faculty and leadership on curriculum development


Requirements

  • Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration

  • Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role

  • Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements
