About the Role
This full-time, ongoing position commences in Term 2, 2026, initially covering long service leave before transitioning into a permanent role following a staff retirement. The successful teacher will deliver Mathematics across Years 7-10, including Year 10 General Maths and VCE Mathematical Methods Units 1 and 2. The school is seeking either an experienced educator with strong VCE capability or a graduate teacher with enthusiasm, initiative, and a willingness to contribute to the broader school community. This is an opportunity to step into an established program and continue building strong student outcomes in a supportive faculty environment.
Skills and Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging Mathematics lessons across Years 7-10 and VCE Mathematical Methods Units 1 and 2
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that promotes student growth
- Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum planning and whole-school initiatives
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff regarding learning and wellbeing
- Support the school’s Christian ethos through professional practice, relationships, and participation in community life
Requirements
- Current or eligibility for VIT registration
- Full Australian working rights
- Ability to support and uphold the school’s Christian values and ethos
- Two professional referees and completion of HARKE’s safeguarding onboarding
