About the Position

This full-time role, commencing as soon as possible, involves teaching Mathematics across Years 7 to 11. The teaching load includes a Year 8 extension class, numeracy-focused classes in Years 8 and 9, as well as general Mathematics across Years 7, 9, and 11. The role is offered as a fixed-term contract through to the end of 2026, with the potential to move to an ongoing position for a high-performing candidate.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Deliver curriculum-aligned Mathematics lessons across Years 7–11, including extension and numeracy-focused classes
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students, adhering to safeguarding policies and practices
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student progress
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan, assess, and refine teaching and learning programs
  • Demonstrate strong classroom leadership, supporting engagement and positive learning outcomes

Requirements

  • Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain VIT registration
  • Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role
  • Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements
