About the Position
The school is seeking a Secondary Maths Teacher to join on either a 0.8 or full-time fixed-term basis through to the end of 2026, commencing Term 2. The role includes teaching Mathematics across Years 7–12, including Year 11 and 12 Methods, Year 10 Advanced Maths and junior secondary classes. The successful teacher will deliver engaging and rigorous lessons that support strong numeracy, problem-solving skills and student confidence, while contributing to the wider Mathematics faculty.
Skills and Responsibilities
• Deliver Mathematics curriculum across Years 7–12, including senior Methods, aligned with the Victorian Curriculum
• Uphold safeguarding practices and maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
• Communicate effectively with students, families and colleagues regarding progress and outcomes
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan curriculum and enhance student learning
• Contribute positively to faculty initiatives and the wider school community
Requirements
Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain VIT registration.
Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.
Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
