About the Position
This fixed-term Maths Teacher position will run from 20 April 2026 until 11 December 2026, with the possibility of becoming ongoing. The role involves teaching a mix of junior and senior Mathematics classes, including Year 8 Mathematics, Year 9 General and Mainstream Mathematics, and VCE General Mathematics Units 1 and 2. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons that build strong numeracy skills and support students in developing confidence and analytical thinking.
Skills and Responsibilities
• Deliver Mathematics curriculum aligned with Victorian curriculum and VCE requirements
• Uphold safeguarding practices and maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment
• Communicate effectively with students, families and colleagues regarding learning progress
• Collaborate with faculty members to plan curriculum and support student outcomes
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the Mathematics program
Requirements
Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain VIT Teacher Registration.
Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.
Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
