About the Position

This part-time position (0.6 FTE) will commence in January 2026, teaching Mathematics across Years 7–10. Classes are spread over 7 days per fortnight, with specific days to be finalised once the 2026 timetable is confirmed. The successful candidate will bring a student-centred approach to teaching and a commitment to helping learners find confidence and joy in mathematics.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Teach Mathematics across Years 7–10 using engaging, practical approaches.

  • Foster problem-solving and conceptual understanding.

  • Collaborate within a supportive Maths team to share resources and best practice.

  • Maintain clear communication with students, parents, and colleagues.

  • Participate in co-curricular and pastoral aspects of school life.

Requirements

  • Registration: Hold or be eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).

  • Work Rights: Full Australian working rights are essential.

  • Safeguarding: Provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process.
