About the Position

An opportunity has become available for a Year 9 Mathematics and Science Teacher to join the school from Term 3, 2026 through to the end of the year.

The teaching load will focus primarily on Year 9 Mathematics, with some Year 9 Science included. The school has indicated a preference for candidates with strong Mathematics capability and enthusiasm for teaching middle years learners.

This full-time contract offers the opportunity to join a well-supported faculty and dedicated Year 9 program, with the potential for an ongoing position for the right candidate.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging Year 9 Mathematics programs
  • Teach Year 9 Science as part of the allocated teaching load

Requirements

  • Current VIT registration or eligibility to obtain registration
  • Experience teaching secondary Mathematics
  • Ability to teach junior Science
  • Full Australian working rights
  • Commitment to student wellbeing and safeguarding
  • Ability to provide two referees and complete HARKE safeguarding onboarding
