About the Position
This full-time, fixed-term role is a replacement teaching position covering a range of subjects across multiple year levels, including:
- Physics Units 1 & 2
- General Mathematics Units 1 & 2
- Science (Years 8-10)
The successful candidate will deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons and support students' learning and progress throughout Term 2. This role is well-suited to both experienced teachers and those seeking short-term contracts, including candidates on a Working Holiday Visa (WHV) with the appropriate VIT registration.
Skills and Responsibilities
- Curriculum: Deliver well-structured lessons in Physics, General Maths, and Science, ensuring alignment with VCE and Australian Curriculum standards.
- Safeguarding: Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment, adhering to all child protection policies and school guidelines.
- Communication: Engage effectively with students, parents, and staff to foster a positive and supportive learning experience.
- Collaboration: Work as part of a dedicated teaching team to enhance student outcomes and contribute to the school community.
- Leadership: Encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and a passion for STEM subjects in students.
Requirements
- Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT), including those on a Working Holiday Visa (WHV).
- Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia or appropriate visa conditions.
- Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
