The college is seeking an experienced and dedicated Head of Learning Area (Mathematics) to lead the Mathematics faculty from January 2026. This is a middle leadership role combined with a permanent teaching position at the college.

The successful candidate will oversee curriculum leadership, faculty development, and high-impact teaching practice within the Mathematics department, while working closely with the broader leadership team to support the strategic direction and growth of the school.

• Lead and develop quality teaching and learning within the Mathematics faculty

• Support teachers through mentoring, coaching, and collaborative planning

• Oversee curriculum implementation, assessment practices, and data-informed improvement

• Promote a culture of academic excellence and student engagement in Mathematics

• Contribute actively to school-wide initiatives, strategic planning, and extracurricular programs

• Model and support the ethos and values of Catholic education

• A strong commitment to the mission and ethos of Catholic education

• Proven leadership capability within a Mathematics or similar learning area

• Effective communication, organisation, and relationship-building skills

• The ability to work closely with the school’s leadership team to guide future development

• Registration: Must hold, or be eligible to obtain, QCT registration

• Qualifications: Relevant tertiary teaching qualifications

• Work Rights: Full Australian working rights required

• Safeguarding: Two referees and completion of HARKE onboarding and safeguarding checks
