Support students where every learner is known.
Be part of a values-led school community where inclusive education and student growth go hand in hand.

HARKE Recruitment is proud to partner with a well-established independent school in Rockhampton to appoint a full-time Learning Support Teacher from Term 1, 2026. The school is known for its supportive, community-driven culture and its holistic, faith-based approach to education that encourages both academic and personal development.

About the Role
Working across all year levels (7–12), you’ll play a key role in supporting students with diverse learning needs—whether through in-class support, small-group instruction, or the development of personalised learning plans. You’ll collaborate closely with classroom teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure students can thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.

This role would suit a compassionate, organised educator who understands the importance of differentiated learning and is aligned with the school’s values-focused culture.

  • Potential for relocation support (based on individual circumstances)

  • Join a caring, collaborative staff team

  • Ongoing professional learning opportunities

  • Live and work in a welcoming regional centre with strong community ties

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experienced in supporting students with additional learning needs across 7–12

  • Skilled in developing, implementing, and reviewing Individual Learning Plans

  • Values-led, reflective, and passionate about inclusive practice

  • Strong collaborator who communicates effectively with staff, students, and families

Must-Have Requirements

  • Current QCT registration (or eligibility to obtain it)

  • Full working rights in Australia

  • Willingness to provide 2–3 references and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet child safeguarding requirements
