About the Position
This full-time Learning Support Officer role is ideal for someone passionate about helping students thrive. Each morning, you will run your own small literacy group
(typically 2–12 students) during a structured 1.5-hour block of direct, explicit instruction
, under the guidance of a dedicated Literacy Coordinator.
Beyond that, you’ll assist in classrooms and have the opportunity to lead your own intervention projects or support initiatives, with dedicated time and funding allocated. There is scope to increase pay depending on your skills, qualifications, or leadership of specific initiatives.
This is a particularly great opportunity for someone studying teaching or exploring a career in education – you’ll be well supported and actively involved in meaningful student learning.
Skills and Responsibilities

Requirements
- Registration: Not required
- Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential
- Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements
