About the Role

This full-time Learning Support Coordinator position will commence in Term 1, 2027 and combines teaching with responsibility for coordinating learning support across the school. The successful teacher will identify student learning needs, develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs), maintain the school's NCCD register and work closely with classroom teachers and learning support aides. The role also includes teaching small groups where adjustments are required to support individual learning needs.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Assess students to identify learning strengths, challenges and appropriate adjustments to support improved outcomes.

  • Develop and oversee Individual Education Plans in collaboration with classroom teachers and maintain accurate NCCD documentation.

  • Coordinate, allocate and support learning support aides working with individual students and small groups.

  • Deliver targeted teaching to small groups where curriculum adjustments or additional intervention are required.

  • Maintain high standards of student safeguarding and wellbeing while contributing actively to students' academic and faith development.

Requirements

  • Current VIT registration or eligibility for registration

  • Relevant Primary or Secondary teaching qualifications and experience

  • Strong knowledge and practical experience of NCCD requirements and learning support within schools

  • Demonstrated ability to assess learning needs and implement appropriate strategies and adjustments

  • A genuine and active Christian faith, with candidates required to demonstrate their personal faith and church background

  • Australian-based and suitable international teachers are encouraged to apply, with sponsorship considered for the right candidate

  • Two professional referees and completion of HARKE's safeguarding onboarding
