About the Position

The school is seeking a Learning Leader – English to join the team from Term 1, 2026. This 12-month contract role will suit an experienced English teacher or faculty coordinator looking to contribute to curriculum leadership and team development within a vibrant secondary setting.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Lead the English faculty in curriculum planning, assessment, and pedagogy

  • Support and mentor staff in the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning programs

  • Teach English across relevant year levels, including VCE if required

  • Analyse student data to inform teaching practice and faculty improvement

  • Contribute to co-curricular programs and the broader life of the school

Requirements

  • Registration: Current VIT registration (or eligibility)

  • Experience: Prior experience in English curriculum leadership or coordination

  • Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia

  • Safeguarding: Two current referees and completion of HARKE’s safeguarding process
