About the Role

This leadership position focuses on leading Disability and Inclusion across the school, ensuring students with additional needs are supported to achieve their learning goals. The role involves working closely with leadership, wellbeing teams, and external services to coordinate support structures, oversee Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and implement evidence-based inclusive practices. The successful candidate will lead whole-school improvement in inclusive education, support staff capability, and contribute to strategic planning and student wellbeing initiatives.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement whole-school Disability and Inclusion strategies
  • Oversee and support the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Maintain safe, inclusive learning environments that support student wellbeing
  • Collaborate with staff, families, and external services to support student outcomes
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and professional learning to staff in inclusive practices

Requirements

  • Current or eligibility for VIT registration
  • Full Australian working rights (no sponsorship available)
  • Recent teaching and leadership experience within Australia
  • Demonstrated experience in inclusive education and student support
  • Two professional referees and completion of HARKE’s safeguarding onboarding
