About the Position

This part-time position (0.68 FTE) will run from 20 April 2026 until 11 December 2026. The role involves teaching French and Italian across the middle years, supporting students to develop communication skills, cultural understanding and confidence in language learning. The teaching load includes Year 7 French and Italian and Year 8 Italian classes. The successful candidate will contribute to an engaging languages program and collaborate with colleagues to support strong learning outcomes.

Skills and Responsibilities

• Deliver French and Italian curriculum in alignment with Victorian curriculum requirements
• Uphold safeguarding practices and maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
• Communicate effectively with students, families and colleagues regarding student progress
• Collaborate with language faculty members to support curriculum planning and student outcomes
• Contribute to the development and promotion of the Languages program within the school

Requirements

Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain VIT Teacher Registration.

Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.

Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
