About the Position
This short-term full-time contract runs from 10 August 2026 until 18 September 2026 and is based at the school's Berwick campus. The teaching load consists of two Year 7 Mathematics classes, one Year 8 Mathematics class, and one Year 8 Science class. The school is seeking a teacher who can quickly establish positive classroom relationships, deliver engaging Mathematics and Science lessons, and contribute positively to the wider faculty during this leave replacement period.
Both experienced teachers and confident graduate teachers are encouraged to apply.
Skills and Responsibilities
• Deliver engaging Mathematics and Science lessons across Years 7 and 8
• Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
• Support student wellbeing and academic progress through effective teaching practices
• Communicate professionally with students, families, and colleagues
• Collaborate with faculty staff to support curriculum delivery and student outcomes
Requirements
• Registration with, or eligibility for, the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
• Full Australian working rights
• Two referees available upon request
• Completion of HARKE onboarding to meet safeguarding requirements
