About the Position
This full-time fixed-term position involves teaching Japanese across Years 5-8 for Term 3, replacing a teacher on long service leave. The successful educator will join a supported Languages faculty with an experienced Head of Department already in place. The role is well suited to a teacher confident in delivering engaging Japanese language programs across middle years, with the potential to contribute to senior classes depending on experience and capability.
Skills and Responsibilities
• Deliver engaging Japanese language lessons across Years 5-8
• Support student wellbeing and maintain a positive classroom environment
• Maintain safeguarding and welfare standards in line with school expectations
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
• Collaborate within the Languages faculty and contribute to curriculum planning
Requirements
• Registration with, or eligibility for, the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
• Full Australian working rights
• Two referees available upon request
• Completion of HARKE onboarding to meet safeguarding requirements
