About the Role
This full-time fixed-term position commencing Term 2, 2026 involves teaching Italian across Years 7, 8, 10, and 11, with flexibility around senior classes if required. The role has arisen due to a staff resignation in Term 1. The successful teacher will deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned language lessons and contribute to a supportive Languages faculty, which also includes Japanese.
Skills and Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging Italian lessons aligned with the Victorian Curriculum across Years 7-11
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment focused on student wellbeing
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues regarding progress and outcomes
- Collaborate with Languages staff on planning, assessment, and curriculum delivery
- Contribute to faculty and school initiatives, supporting student engagement and learning
Requirements
- Registration with or eligibility for Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
- Full Australian work rights
- Two referees and completion of HARKE onboarding for safeguarding
