Inclusive Education Teacher – Junior School Salary Range: $83,000–$124,000 plus super Type of School: Independent School in Eastern Melbourne Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent Start: Term 2 2025 (negotiable)

About the Position This full-time position i nvolves providing targeted support to Junior School P-6 students with diverse learning needs. Working closely with classroom teachers and the Head of Personalised Learning – Diversity and Inclusion, the Inclusive Education Teacher will implement individualised learning plans, support student growth in small group or one-on-one settings, and collaborate with staff and families to enhance learning outcomes. This role is ideal for an educator with a passion for inclusive education, a strong understanding of differentiated teaching, and a commitment to student-centred learning.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver inclusive, curriculum-aligned support tailored to individual student needs.

  • Promote safeguarding and wellbeing practices aligned with child safety standards.

  • Communicate clearly and regularly with families, staff, and allied professionals.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to implement effective learning adjustments and support plans.

  • Demonstrate leadership in supporting inclusive practices across the Junior School.

Requirements
  • Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.

  • Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.

  • Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
