About the Position
This inclusive education role focuses on supporting students with diverse learning needs, including special educational requirements, ESL, and gifted and talented students. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with teaching staff, leadership, families, and external specialists to create supportive educational plans and deliver targeted interventions. This role requires someone committed to enhancing student outcomes academically, socially, and emotionally, aligning with Montessori principles.
Skills and Responsibilities

Conduct assessments to identify and understand student learning and behavioural needs

Collaborate with external professionals, classroom teachers, and families to coordinate consistent support strategies

Provide individualised lessons and in-class support tailored to students’ specific learning differences

Assist in developing and implementing Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) for students across the learning spectrum, from special needs to highly capable students

Prepare and manage funding applications, maintain detailed records, and liaise effectively with all stakeholders
Requirements

Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration

Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role

Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements
