HARKE has partnered with an independent Islamic school in South-Western Sydney seeking an ICT Teacher for the 2027 school year. About the Position
This full-time position will commence in Term 1, 2027 on an initial 12-month contract, with the possibility of extension beyond the 2027 school year. The school is open to ICT teachers across all year levels, with the final teaching allocation to be determined based on the successful candidate's qualifications, experience and areas of expertise.
The position would suit a qualified teacher with strong ICT knowledge who can deliver engaging technology-based learning, build students' digital capabilities and create a structured classroom environment. Teachers with ICT experience across different year levels are encouraged to apply.
Skills and Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging ICT lessons aligned with NSW curriculum requirements and the allocated year levels.
- Maintain high standards of student safeguarding, wellbeing and responsible use of technology within the learning environment.
- Communicate clearly with students, families and colleagues regarding learning, progress and classroom expectations.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, assessment and the effective integration of digital technologies.
- Provide clear classroom leadership and support students to develop practical ICT skills, digital literacy and problem-solving capabilities.
Requirements
ICT Teaching: Candidates must be suitably qualified and have the subject knowledge required to teach ICT.
Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain accreditation with NESA.
Work Rights: Full Australian working rights are essential for this role.
Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE's onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
