About the PositionAn exciting opportunity is available for a passionate Humanities Teacher to join the school immediately. This full-time fixed-term position runs until the end of the 2026 school year, with a strong possibility of extension into 2027. The successful candidate will teach Humanities across Years 7–10, delivering engaging and inquiry-based learning experiences that develop students' critical thinking, historical understanding, geographical knowledge, and civic awareness.
Skills and Responsibilities- Deliver engaging Humanities lessons aligned with the Victorian Curriculum across Years 7–10.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that promotes student wellbeing and academic success.
- Build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues through effective communication.
- Collaborate with the Humanities faculty to develop curriculum, assessment, and innovative learning programs.
- Contribute positively to the broader life of the school and uphold its values and expectations.
- Hold current VIT registration or be eligible to obtain registration.
- Have full working rights in Australia.
- Provide two current professional referees and complete HARKE's safeguarding and onboarding requirements.
