About the Position

The school is seeking a Humanities Teacher to join on a full-time fixed-term contract through to the end of the year, commencing Term 2, 2026. The role involves delivering engaging Humanities lessons across the secondary years, supporting students to develop critical thinking, inquiry skills and a strong understanding of historical and social contexts. The successful teacher will contribute to curriculum planning and work collaboratively within the faculty.

Skills and Responsibilities

• Deliver Humanities curriculum in line with the Victorian Curriculum
• Uphold safeguarding practices and maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment
• Communicate effectively with students, families and colleagues regarding progress and wellbeing
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and improve teaching and learning programs
• Contribute to faculty initiatives and the broader school community

Requirements

Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain VIT registration.

Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.

Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
