About the Role
This position involves teaching Years 7-10 Humanities and Outdoor Education, offering a varied teaching load across classroom and practical learning environments. There is also the potential to teach Year 11 VCE History, depending on the successful candidate's experience and strengths. The school is equally happy to consider teachers with a junior secondary focus, meaning previous VCE teaching experience is not essential.
Skills and Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned Humanities and Outdoor Education programs across Years 7-10.

Maintain high standards of student safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusive practice across classroom and outdoor learning environments.

Communicate effectively with students, families and colleagues regarding learning, assessment and student progress.

Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum planning, outdoor learning experiences and broader school initiatives.

Where appropriate, contribute to Year 11 VCE History while supporting positive student engagement and achievement.
Requirements

Current VIT registration or eligibility for registration

Relevant teaching qualifications with the ability to teach Humanities and Outdoor Education

VCE History experience is welcomed but not essential
