About the Position This full-time position, commencing in Term 2, involves teaching Society & Culture, History, and Geography across Years 7–10. The successful candidate will create engaging and relevant learning experiences, tailored to the needs of students, and contribute to a dynamic and supportive HSIE department. The role is open to early career and experienced teachers and can be offered as fixed-term or ongoing depending on the candidate’s preference.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Deliver curriculum-aligned lessons in Society & Culture, History, and Geography for Years 7–10.

  • Uphold safeguarding and duty of care responsibilities to ensure student wellbeing.

  • Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues to build strong partnerships.

  • Collaborate within the HSIE team to enhance student learning outcomes.

  • Demonstrate leadership in the classroom, encouraging critical thinking and curiosity.

Requirements
  • Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain NSW Teacher Registration (NESA).

  • Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.

  • Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
