HSIE Teacher – History, Geography & English Salary Range: $85,000 - $126,000 plus super Type of School: Independent School in Sydney Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent Start: Term 2, 2025
About the School
HARKE has partnered with an independent alternative secondary school in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs that takes a different approach to education—one that truly puts students and staff first. This non-denominational school offers a structured yet flexible learning environment, with smaller class sizes, a later start to the school day for students, and a focus on student engagement and wellbeing, rather extras like homework clubs or after-school sport. The school prides itself on its supportive, down-to-earth staff and is looking for an educator who will not only teach but truly connect with students.
About the Position
This role is perfect for a teacher who wants to make a difference in an alternative education setting. The school supports students with mild/moderate anxiety or just doesn't fit the mold a standard school setting and is looking for someone with a great attitude, adaptability, and a genuine passion for working with students who may not thrive in a traditional school environment. If you’re the kind of teacher who enjoys building strong relationships, working collaboratively, and finding creative ways to engage students , this could be the right fit for you.
