HARKE Recruitment is proud to partner with a long-standing independent school in North-West Queensland to appoint a full-time HPE Teacher for Years 7–10. This permanent position begins Term 1, 2026 and offers the chance to become part of a close-knit teaching team and broader school community that values wellbeing, engagement, and respectful relationships.


About the Role
As HPE Teacher, you’ll deliver dynamic, practical learning experiences to students in Years 7–10, helping them build lifelong habits of health, fitness, and personal responsibility. You’ll be part of a school that takes pride in both classroom teaching and its co-curricular sports programs, with small class sizes and supportive leadership to help you thrive professionally.

Relocation Support

The Ideal Candidate

  • Confident teaching HPE across junior secondary year levels (Years 7–10)

  • Passionate about student wellbeing and building confidence through sport and movement

  • Open to contributing to co-curricular programs and school life beyond the classroom

  • Values strong relationships, personal integrity, and community contribution


Must-Have Requirements

  • Current Queensland teacher registration (or eligibility to obtain it)

  • Full working rights in Australia

  • Willingness to provide 2–3 references and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet child safeguarding requirements
