About the Position
This full-time, ongoing position offers an exciting opportunity to teach HPE across all year levels (P-12) or take on a HPE Coordinator role for an experienced leader. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting physical well-being and an active lifestyle among students.
The school is offering relocation support, including temporary housing, to assist with a smooth transition into the community.
Skills and Responsibilities
- Curriculum: Plan and deliver engaging HPE lessons aligned with the Australian Curriculum, fostering student participation and enthusiasm for health and physical education.
- Safeguarding: Ensure student safety and well-being, adhering to all child protection policies and Christian school values.
- Communication: Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, fostering a positive and inclusive school culture.
- Collaboration: Work closely with staff to develop and implement school-wide health and physical education initiatives.
- Leadership (Coordinator Role): There is scope to lead and manage the HPE department, oversee sports programs, and mentor staff in delivering quality physical education.
Requirements
- Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible for registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT).
- Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential.
- Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
