About the Position
The school is seeking a dedicated Home Economics Teacher to commence in Term 2, 2026. The role will involve delivering engaging programs across food technology, hospitality, and related subjects within the Technologies learning area. The successful applicant will foster practical skills, critical thinking, and safe work practices, while supporting students to develop independence and real-world capabilities.
Skills and Responsibilities-
Deliver curriculum-aligned Home Economics programs across junior and senior year levels

Maintain a safe and compliant practical learning environment, adhering to safeguarding and WHS requirements

Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues to support student progress

Collaborate with staff to enhance cross-curricular and vocational learning opportunities

Contribute to faculty initiatives and support pathways into further study, training, or employment
- Registration: Current NT Teacher Registration (TRB) or eligibility to obtain
- Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia
- Safeguarding: Two current referees and completion of HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements
