About the Position
The school is seeking a Home Economics and Textiles teacher to deliver engaging and practical lessons to students across the middle and senior years. The successful candidate will join a well-established Technology faculty and contribute to a curriculum that fosters creativity, life skills, and vocational readiness. This role is ideal for an educator who is passionate about student-centred learning, hands-on teaching, and contributing to a vibrant school community.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Curriculum – Plan and deliver curriculum-aligned Home Economics and Textiles programs

  • Safeguarding – Ensure student wellbeing and adhere to Child Safe Standards

  • Communication – Build strong relationships with students, staff, and families

  • Collaboration – Work effectively with colleagues across the Technology and broader teaching teams

  • Leadership – Model best practice and contribute to subject development

Requirements
  • ]NT teaching registration (TRB NT) or eligible to obtain 

  • Full Australian working rights

  • Qualifications in teaching and relevant subject areas

  • Understanding of safeguarding and child safety obligations
