About the Position
This permanent leadership opportunity is suited to an experienced teacher who can lead Maths and Science with confidence, ideally with the capacity to teach Maths across Years 7 to 12, though Science will also be considered. The successful candidate will oversee a team of 5 to 6 staff and will receive an additional 4 periods per week to support leadership responsibilities.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Lead high-quality teaching and learning across the department, with strong knowledge of curriculum planning, assessment, and classroom practice
  • Maintain a clear commitment to safeguarding, student wellbeing, and professional expectations across the team
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues, contributing to a positive and transparent school culture
  • Work collaboratively with school leadership and teaching staff to strengthen curriculum outcomes and department cohesion
  • Provide capable and values-led leadership, including mentoring staff, supporting performance, and guiding department direction

Requirements

  • Current QCT registration, or eligibility to obtain it
  • Full working rights in Australia
  • Applicants must be actively attending church and be practising Christians
  • Commitment to Christian education and the faith life of the school
  • Ability to provide suitable referee checks and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements
