About the Position

This full-time, ongoing role commencing in Term 3, 2025, is focused on teaching History and Humanities across Years 7-9. The successful candidate will join a passionate team who aims to deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons that foster critical thinking, inquiry, and a strong understanding of the humanities. Skills and Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons in History and Humanities for Years 7-9

  • Foster a classroom environment that promotes inquiry, discussion, and academic excellence

  • Differentiate teaching to cater for a range of abilities and learning styles

  • Collaborate with colleagues in curriculum development and school-wide initiatives

  • Establish strong relationships with students, parents, and staff to support student wellbeing and learning


Requirements

  • Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration

  • Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role

  • Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements
