Permanent Full-Time Teaching Position | Three-Year Leadership Appointment
Salary: $95,551 – $137,031 + $21,130 PAR Allowance

HARKE has partnered with a well-established independent school in Darwin seeking an experienced educational leader to oversee learning, teaching and student transitions across Years 6–9.
This is a significant leadership opportunity for an educator with strong experience in curriculum, pedagogy and middle years learning. The successful applicant will lead curriculum architecture and delivery across Years 6–9, strengthen teaching practice and support students through key transition points while developing clear academic and vocational pathways.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead curriculum, assessment and learning program delivery across Years 6–9.
- Monitor student achievement, engagement and learning data to inform targeted support and differentiated pathways.
- Lead and mentor staff to strengthen teaching practice and student outcomes.
- Develop effective transition programs and future-focused pathways for middle years students.
- Build strong partnerships with students, families, colleagues and the wider community.
- Oversee learning programs, reporting, compliance, student tracking and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
The successful applicant will bring:
- Demonstrated leadership of teaching and learning programs in secondary education.
- Strong curriculum and pedagogical knowledge, particularly across the middle years.
- Experience leading, mentoring and developing teaching staff.
- Experience using data and evidence to improve student outcomes and teaching effectiveness.
- Knowledge of innovative, inclusive and differentiated approaches to learning.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills across students, families and the wider community.

- Additional PAR allowance of $21,130 gross per annum, increasing to $22,040 from July 2027.
- 0.5 FTE leadership release.
- Salary range of $95,551 – $137,031 gross per annum, depending on experience.

Requirements
- NT Teacher Registration or eligibility to obtain registration.
- Full Australian work rights.
- Relevant teaching qualifications.
- Demonstrated secondary teaching and educational leadership experience.
- Two professional referees and completion of HARKE safeguarding and onboarding requirements.
