HARKE has partnered with a well-established independent school in Darwin seeking an experienced educational leader to lead senior years learning, pathways and partnerships across Years 10–12.
This is a significant leadership opportunity for an educator with strong experience across senior secondary curriculum, VET, careers and student pathways. The successful applicant will lead the design, delivery and continuous improvement of Years 10–12 learning pathways and transition programs, ensuring students receive personalised guidance aligned with their aspirations and future goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead curriculum, assessment and learning programs across Years 10–12.
- Monitor student achievement, engagement and pathway data to support targeted intervention and differentiated pathways.
- Lead academic, vocational, VET and career pathway development.
- Build partnerships with industry, tertiary providers, employers, families and the wider community.
- Lead and mentor staff responsible for careers, vocational education and pathway programs.
- Oversee applied learning programs, compliance, student tracking and initiatives supporting retention and positive post-school outcomes.
About You
The successful applicant will bring:
- Demonstrated leadership of NTCET and VET curriculum and programs within secondary education.
- Strong knowledge of careers education, student pathways and post-school transitions.
- Experience leading and developing teaching and pathways staff.
- The ability to analyse student and program data to improve outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills across students, families, industry and community partners.

- Additional PAR allowance of $21,130 gross per annum, increasing to $22,040 from July 2027.
- 0.5 FTE leadership release.
- Salary range of $95,551 – $137,031 gross per annum, depending on experience.

Requirements
- NT Teacher Registration or eligibility to obtain registration.
- Full Australian work rights.
- Relevant teaching qualifications.
- Demonstrated senior secondary, pathways, VET and/or careers leadership experience.
