About the PositionThis full-time ongoing teaching position carries a three-year POL4 leadership tenure (reviewed in the second year). The Head of Sport leads the College’s ACS sporting program, House Sport, school carnivals and representative events. The role oversees a team of coordinators and coaches, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, safe and well-organised sports program aligned with the school’s mission.
The position includes:
- 28 x 60-minute periods per 10-day cycle allocated for leadership duties
- 8–12 x 60-minute teaching periods per 10-day cycle

Lead ACS sport, House Sport, carnivals and representative programs across the College.

Ensure student safety, behaviour expectations and attendance requirements are met.

Communicate effectively with staff, students and families regarding fixtures, results and notices.

Collaborate with leadership, coordinators and coaches to maintain program quality and participation.

Manage budgets, staffing, documentation and the strategic development of the sports program.
- Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible for VIT registration .
- Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential.
- Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
