About the PositionThe college is seeking an experienced and relational Head of Secondary to oversee the secondary department. Due to the small size of the school, the role includes a reduced teaching load of no more than 50% , with teaching subjects flexible to the candidate’s strengths.
The school is open to a later Term 1 or start of Term 2 commencement for the right candidate.

As a Christian school, applicants must be supportive of the school’s faith ethos. Candidates will need to:

Provide a current pastor’s reference , or

Demonstrate a strong background within a Protestant faith-based context (e.g., regular past church attendance or active involvement in Christian ministry, even if not currently attending).
The Head of Secondary will oversee essential areas of school operations and student success, including:
- QCAA Curriculum Administration & Planning
- Student Wellbeing and Behaviour Support
- Academic Tracking, Data Analysis & Progress Monitoring
- Holistic Student Development (character, faith, leadership, community engagement)
- Staff Development, Mentoring & Professional Growth

Strong, relational leadership capability

Excellent understanding of QCAA curriculum and assessment processes

Experience supporting pastoral care and student wellbeing

Ability to lead academic improvement and support high-quality teaching practice

Strategic planning and organisational skills

Commitment to Christian education and values-based leadership
- Registration: Must hold or be eligible for QCT registration
- Experience: Prior leadership experience in a secondary school setting preferred
- Teaching Load: Ability to teach up to 50% in any secondary subject
- Faith Alignment: Must meet the school’s Christian faith requirement
- Work Rights: Full Australian working rights required
- Safeguarding: Two current referees and completion of HARKE’s onboarding and safeguarding checks
