About the Role
This leadership position offers the opportunity to shape and strengthen the PDHPE program across Years 7–12. As Head of PDHPE, you will mentor two early-career teachers, provide curriculum direction, and work closely alongside the Head of Sport to ensure alignment between academic and co-curricular programs. This role will suit a strong team player who thrives in a small-school environment and is ready to take the next step into faculty leadership.
Skills and Responsibilities

Lead and oversee the delivery of the PDHPE curriculum across Years 7–12

Mentor and support two graduate teachers through coaching and professional guidance

Collaborate closely with the Head of Sport to align curriculum and co-curricular programs

Maintain high standards of student wellbeing, safety, and safeguarding practices

Foster positive communication with students, staff, and families
Requirements

Current or eligibility for NESA registration

Proven experience teaching PDHPE at secondary level

Demonstrated capacity to mentor and support early-career teachers

Full Australian working rights

Two professional referees and completion of HARKE’s safeguarding onboarding
