About the Role

This leadership position offers the opportunity to shape and strengthen the PDHPE program across Years 7–12. As Head of PDHPE, you will mentor two early-career teachers, provide curriculum direction, and work closely alongside the Head of Sport to ensure alignment between academic and co-curricular programs. This role will suit a strong team player who thrives in a small-school environment and is ready to take the next step into faculty leadership.


Skills and Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the delivery of the PDHPE curriculum across Years 7–12

  • Mentor and support two graduate teachers through coaching and professional guidance

  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Sport to align curriculum and co-curricular programs

  • Maintain high standards of student wellbeing, safety, and safeguarding practices

  • Foster positive communication with students, staff, and families


Requirements

  • Current or eligibility for NESA registration

  • Proven experience teaching PDHPE at secondary level

  • Demonstrated capacity to mentor and support early-career teachers

  • Full Australian working rights

  • Two professional referees and completion of HARKE’s safeguarding onboarding
