About the Position
This full-time, ongoing role commencing in Term 3, 2025, offers an exciting opportunity to lead the K–12 Learning Support Department. The successful candidate will coordinate a team of seven support staff and play a central role in ensuring that students with diverse learning needs are provided with tailored, effective support across all year levels. With a teaching load of 24 periods per week, this role includes both leading support strategies and working directly alongside teachers within their classrooms.

The school is open to applications from educators with either primary or secondary teaching backgrounds, provided they are committed to developing their professional practice across K–12 support. A wide range of student support needs will be discussed in more detail at the interview stage.


Skills and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support a team of 7 Learning Support staff across K–12.

  • Work collaboratively with classroom teachers to develop and implement inclusive practices.

  • Maintain and oversee student support plans, documentation, and ongoing progress monitoring.

  • Deliver small group or individual support as needed, both in and out of the classroom.

  • Support teachers across various year levels and subject areas to implement adjustments.

  • Engage in ongoing professional development across primary and secondary education contexts.


Requirements

  • Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain NESA Accreditation.

  • Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.

  • Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
