About the Position
The Head of Learning Diversity provides strategic and operational oversight of Learning Diversity across Years 7–12. Approximately 20% of students are supported through Individual Education Plans, spanning extensive, substantial and supplementary adjustments. This role leads the coordination, implementation and monitoring of IEPs, ensures compliance with NCCD requirements, and works closely with Heads of Year, teaching staff, families and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will manage the Learning Support Officer team, oversee the school’s dedicated Learning Diversity space, and contribute as a key member of the wellbeing and curriculum leadership teams. A substantial time allowance is provided, with flexibility to negotiate a modest teaching load aligned to expertise.
Skills and Responsibilities

Provide strategic oversight of Learning Diversity programs across Years 7–12, ensuring effective development and implementation of IEPs.

Lead NCCD processes, documentation and compliance requirements with accuracy and rigour.

Manage and mentor the Learning Support Officer team, overseeing daily operations of the Learning Diversity space.

Collaborate with Heads of Year and classroom teachers to build staff capacity in differentiation and inclusive practice.

Maintain strong communication with students, families and external professionals to support wellbeing and academic progress.
Requirements

Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).

Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.
