About the Role
The school is seeking a Head of HSIE to lead the faculty and strengthen academic outcomes across Years 7 to 12. The role involves guiding curriculum development, mentoring staff, and building a cohesive team culture focused on purposeful teaching. This position suits a proactive educator with the capacity to set a clear direction for the department, foster collaboration, and elevate HSIE as one of the school’s leading areas of achievement.

Skills and Responsibilities
• Lead and develop a high-performing HSIE team
• Strengthen curriculum programs and improve academic outcomes
• Support staff wellbeing, development, and performance
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
• Contribute to whole-school initiatives and community events

Requirements
• Current NESA accreditation or eligibility
• Demonstrated leadership capability within a secondary setting
• Full Australian work rights
• Two professional referees and completion of HARKE’s safeguarding onboarding
