About the Position

This is a strategic middle leadership opportunity for an experienced Inclusive Education practitioner ready to lead change within a secondary setting. With approximately 70 of 279 students identified at supplementary level or above on the NCCD, the school is seeking a leader who can review, restructure and strengthen existing systems and supports.

The current model includes one Inclusive Education teacher and a team of teacher aides working within classrooms. The Principal is seeking a capable leader who can build revamp the Education Support across Secondary, including implementing clear processes, whilst ensuring compliance, strengthening staff capability and embed consistent practice across Years 7–12. The role carries a 0.3 leadership load alongside a 0.7 Inclusive Education teaching allocation. A POR allowance applies and is negotiable based on experience.


Skills and Responsibilities

  • Lead and refine the Secondary Inclusive Education framework, ensuring curriculum access and effective differentiation.

  • Oversee NCCD processes, documentation and compliance to meet regulatory requirements.

  • Support and coach classroom teachers and teacher aides to strengthen inclusive practice.

  • Communicate effectively with families, students and external providers to support student progress and wellbeing.

  • Contribute to whole-school leadership, policy development and strategic planning within the inclusive education space.


Requirements

  • Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain VIT registration.

  • Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.

  • Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
