About the Position

An opportunity has become available for an experienced and passionate Head of Diverse Learning to lead a large and well-established support unit assisting up to 200 students across the school. The Diverse Learning Team includes approximately 10 staff comprising teachers and learning support officers. The successful candidate will oversee inclusive education practices, support staff development, coordinate student support programs, and work collaboratively with teachers, families, and leadership to ensure students receive appropriate academic and wellbeing support. This role is suited to an educator with strong leadership capability, excellent communication skills, and a deep commitment to inclusive education.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate diverse learning programs and support services across the school
  • Support staff in implementing inclusive teaching and differentiation strategies
  • Build strong relationships with students, families, external providers, and school leadership
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and learning support officers to enhance student outcomes
  • Maintain strong knowledge of safeguarding, wellbeing, and inclusive education practices

Requirements

  • Current NESA registration or ability to obtain
  • Full Australian working rights
  • Experience working within diverse learning, inclusive education, or student support settings
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capability
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and student wellbeing practices
