About the Position
The school is seeking a committed HASS teacher to begin in Term 1, 2026. The role will involve teaching Humanities and Social Sciences across Years 7 to 12, encouraging students to think critically about society, culture, history, and the world around them. The successful applicant will deliver curriculum-aligned lessons, promote curiosity and debate, and contribute to the wider school community through projects and co-curricular opportunities.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Teach Humanities and Social Sciences across junior and senior year levels

  • Build a classroom environment that is safe, inclusive, and encourages discussion

  • Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues

  • Collaborate with teaching teams to develop engaging and innovative learning programs

  • Contribute to school initiatives and activities that promote student engagement in HASS

Requirements
  • NT Teacher Registration (NTTRB) or eligibility to obtain

  • Full working rights in Australia

  • Current Working With Children Check (Ochre Card) or willingness to obtain

  • Two referees from recent educational roles

  • Demonstrated commitment to safeguarding, professional practice, and equity in education
